How to Build a Watchlist That Actually Makes You Money

Last week, one of our students messaged me in a panic.
“Sir, I’m in five different trades… and I don’t even remember why I entered half of them!”

Sound familiar?
That’s what happens when you’re trying to watch every coin in the market. It’s like going to Keells when you’re starving — you grab all sorts of snacks, and end up with an empty wallet and a stomachache.

Here’s the truth:
You don’t need to track hundreds of coins.
You just need the right few.

Here’s my 3-step watchlist method:

  1. Your Core Coins (5–8 max)
    These are your bread and butter. Coins you know well and understand how they move. For me, it’s Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and a couple of solid alts.
    If you wouldn’t explain the coin to your grandmother, it probably shouldn’t be on this list.

  2. Your Opportunity Coins (3–5)
    These are “maybe” coins you’re watching for a specific reason — a chart pattern, a news event, or unusual volume.
    Example: Solana (SOL) if it’s breaking a key resistance. But once the setup’s gone, so is the coin from your list.

  3. Weekly Review — Not Daily
    Don’t keep changing your list every time the market sneezes. Commit for at least 7 days before swapping anything out.

💡 Pro tip: Use TradingView alerts so you’re notified when your coins hit important prices — no more staring at charts 24/7.

Your challenge for tonight:
Write down exactly 5–8 coins for your watchlist. For the next week, trade only those. No chasing random hype from Twitter or Telegram.

Trust me, you’ll feel calmer, more focused, and more profitable.
